Terabithia Revealed
In a recent interview, Jesse Aarons, 10, who was Leslie Burke’s, 10, friend, revealed that the woods Leslie was about to swing across the creek to before the tragic accident occurred was a place they had named (left) “Terabithia”. Jesse and Leslie frequently escaped to Terabithia. “It was a place where we were able to forget all our troubles and just have a good time. It was an ordinary place but with Leslie’s incredible imagination, it was transformed into an extraordinary place.” Jesse had said.
